The milk Jonanni’s uses comes from a local dairy farm (Mill-King) that pasture raises its cows. The herd grazes on grass, walks from pasture to barn for milking, and produces some of the most delicious milk around.

We will be sampling the yogurt as is, and Jonanni’s will also provide other samplings such as cucumber dill salad, labneh, and smoothies (all of which contain their yogurt).

Fascinating Fascia with Dr. Erica Hernandez, DC – December 16, 2017

Join us as the San Antonio Weston A. Price Chapter welcomes Dr. Erica Hernandez, D.C. to discuss the fascinating topic of fascia!

The myofascial system is the body’s connective tissue and, when healthy, can keep us limber and out of pain. However, fascial adhesions, where the connective tissue gets jumbled and “knotted”, are a contributing factor to spinal misalignment, pain syndromes and tightness in the body, fat pockets that won’t budge, altered appearance of the skin, and more!

Dr. Erica will educate us on the myofascial system — what healthy fascia looks like, how it becomes unhealthy, and how to restore fascia to improve our overall health.

The San Antonio Weston A Price Foundation chapter will be providing healthy holiday cookies as refreshments! Bring your own healthy WAPF-inspired cookies (and a to-go container) to “swap” or simply come empty handed and enjoy them there. 🙂 Kids are welcome to attend!

(Note that Weston A Price Foundation inspired ingredients include soaked, sprouted, and organic grain, legume, nut, or vegetable flours; natural sweeteners such as honey, maple syrup, coconut sugar, dried fruits, etc; real butter and eggs, coconut oil, and other real food ingredients. We are a judgment-free zone and hope you’ll enjoy the treats and share your favorite recipes with others. If you choose to bring cookies, please include a note that lists all ingredients so those with dietary restrictions and food intolerances can make educated decisions).

This class will be held at Natural Grocer’s – 13310 NW Military Highway, San Antonio, TX 78231.
